THE COMEDY OF ERRORS
The Comedy of Errors is considered one of Shakespeare's earliest plays, possibly his first comedy and his shortest play, written sometime between 1589 and 1594, although it was not printed until 1623. The central plot revolves around "errors," or mistaken identity, involving identical twin brothers. To this Shakespeare added additional characters and episodes. Shakespeare builds the story error upon error while the characters bewilderment grows... so does the hilarity! Will all conflicts be resolved? Will there once again be peace, harmony and joy? One must come to see... and of course... laugh.
